Swimming, Cycling, Running — It’s Time to Start Triathlon Training

Swimming, cycling, and running often feel like such a chore in our dark and long Seattle winters. However, the days are getting longer, the sun is starting to nose up over the horizon, and Spring is finally here. Spring is the time that we put in the foundation for the Summer. The summer is when we shine.

Achieve Triathlon Greatness this Summer:

Many of us made New Year’s Resolutions. Some of us are still holding true to those New Year’s Resolutions, but probably not all. It’s okay, it happens. The long dark winters make it tough to get out there all the time. Many of our New Year’s resolutions involve getting healthy, faster, more fit, or more energetic. Unfortunately, many of them are already out the window. You need to be realistic about your training plan, make sure it fits into your schedule, and that you can be consistent  - each day, in one way or another, chipping away at what stands between you and your goals.

Sound Training & Racing’s Approach to a Healthy You

Sound Training & Racing offers full-service Triathlon Coaching utilizing their triathlon training gym - Coached Swim Lessons, an Indoor Cycling Studio, Running Clinics, and personal training. We are so much more than a motivator or a coach. Sure, we can make the classes fun and the camaraderie sincere, but we also help people achieve substantial results. Our clients set personal records, get faster, healthier, and achieve ever higher levels of success.

The difference between us and other triathlon coaches is that we understand the many demands of your time and we spend the time to make sure your cycling motion is efficient, your swim stroke is technically strong, and your running form is ideal. The reason we spend so much time on the mechanics is because it works to drive results and it prevents injury.

Triathlon Season is Near

As the calendar creeps into April, it’s time to get serious about your training. Building the mechanics the right way takes time. Building the athletic base you need in order to achieve your goals takes time. The first triathlons in the Pacific Northwest are the first weekend in June - Lake Wilderness Tri and IM Victoria 70.3 - and we need to get you ready for a tremendously successful Summer! Please visit our schedule and think about what race makes sense for you. As you can see, we’re only a few months away, and it’s time to get in the pool, on the bike, and on the road.

Let’s achieve new levels of success this year!
